This is my own little clan, and there’s quite the funny story behind this session, in hindsight of course, but it involves most of us wearing something different until right before we headed out the door. Ahh toddlers… And that’s why I always make sure to advise parents to bring spares for kiddos and the feeding parent, just in case. Thank goodness for the studio closet! ps: I’ve got a whole lot more family session wardrobe tips too.
Honestly though, I am more impressed at the fact that my 3-year-old AND my almost-1-year-old (when did that happen!?) looked at the camera for most of the photos (tripod + timer is hit or miss when it comes to kids). I don’t expect smiles unless I am behind the camera making a complete fool of myself, so this is absolutely a win when babies are involved!
Meet your Photographer, Stephanie, and my growing-like-weeds family.
Here are a few favourites from the session.
Should you find yourself feeling like there is nothing in your closet that fits or is worthy of professional portraits–I’ve got you covered! Literally, the studio has a client closet with plenty of outfits for you to choose from (plus baby 0-3T & a few child options too!). And of course, based on what you’ve chosen, I help guide you through dressing the rest of the family as well. The possibilities are endless!
[mama’s dress and both kiddos’ pants are from the studio closet]
How do I book a photo session?
I’d love to capture your growing family and new baby moments. Use the contact page to send a message to set up a phone consultation so we can discuss details and customize your experience. Maternity Photo Sessions are best had between weeks 27-37 when mom-to-be is still feeling great & has a sizable bump, and there are many gowns and tops available for use during your session (studio or outdoors). Newborn Photo Sessions are best held within the first 2 weeks from birth.
Let’s create ART together!
