Join Me For My First Official Gallery Exhibit

I am beyond excited to share that I have been invited to display my client work at an International Art Gallery Exhibit later this summer, a special campaign featuring my heirloom black & white personality portraits. 

Heirloom Personality Portraits

I am sure it comes as no surprise that I love photographing young children, but moreso capturing their authentic personalities rather than a forced smile (no matter how cute those end up being!), and that my passion is making sure those beautiful photographs end up PRINTED and on display in that child’s room or home for all to see.

 

Of course, the choice of format, size & ratio, and level of artistic flair is always up to the parents (or the child whenever possible!), but I take care of everything else—even the home delivery and wall installation of the artwork. AND I LOVE DOING IT!

Seriously, my own family portraits often lean against the wall they were intended to be displayed on for months before I finally get around to it (or worse, safely preserved in a box!). All to say, I get it—my babies were almost 8 months old before their newborn photos were hung—so I make sure my clients have one less burden on their shoulders. I find it fun anyway.

The Simply Me Photography Project

The Simply Me photography project was created by the Photography Business Institute to feature excellence in portraiture and entrepreneurship. The international Art Show, by invitation only, will be held in September 2024 in Springfield, Illinois.

 

AND to allow all of the participants to see their beautiful portraits on display, I will be hosting a LOCAL gallery exhibit here in the National Capital Region of Ottawa for clients, friends & family. I am so very excited to see their happy faces! It’s why I love doing what I do so much; seeing the uninhibited joy on clients’ faces as their artwork is on display (usually in their home).

Yup, that's ME holding my very own heirloom portrait from my childhood (circa 1994), photographed by Olan Mills. That joy you see radiating from ear to ear on my adult self is why I do what I do: creating art pieces that spread that sense of self-love and family acceptance. It's like magic for the soul.
