CuddleCot for CHEO angel babies | Fundraiser

Fundraiser for a CuddleCot for CHEO’s Angel Babies

Childbirth is supposed to be the happiest time in a new parent’s life, but there are far too many times that it becomes their worst fear. According to researchers, approximately 1 in 143 pregnancies in Canada result in stillbirths. While there is only so much we can do to prevent these unfortunate situations, we CAN absolutely help grieving parents get more time to say goodbye to their little ones.

I have had friends and many clients in the past couple years be affected by the sudden loss of an unborn child. Unfortunately there are currently only TWO of these special infant beds in Canada, with a third on the way. In Ottawa we have many hospitals, one of them being the second largest Children’s Hospitals in the country. I have taken it upon myself to raise enough money to buy one of these technological miracles for suffering families.

Whether CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) or another local hospital ends being the recipient of this donation, the goal is to have a local hospital equipped with this amazing piece of technology in order to give grieving parents a few more hours with their Angel Babies.

The goal is to raise 5000$ in order to purchase a CuddleCot and have it delivered and installed to one of the local Ottawa children’s hospital’s neonatal ward. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Click below to donate a custom denomination to the cause:

What a wonderful thing to give grieving parents. No one can place a value on time and I hope that Gatineau Newborn Photography exceeds their fundraising goals for CHEO and is able to provide this to their patients.
