Baby Allen’s Cake Smash – 12 Months Old

Growing Baby Allen   Cake Smash Time   Not-so-little baby Allen came to visit us at the studio for his 12 months baby photos milestone to celebrate his birthday and for a little cake smashing. He certainly enjoyed himself–all the way until he got icing in his hair, oops!   Happy Birthday Allen!     Not to worry though, we got him cleaned up and perfectly happy snuggled into mamma’s arms for some family portraits.       How do I

Mama to Be Jennifer

There is something so magical about being able to photograph a family’s journey through adding another member. I could tell these two love each other very much, and are very excited for the arrival of their little boy. Without further ado…   World, meet Mama to be Jennifer & Dad to be Sean.   Here are a few favourites from the session.     Photos of their little boy coming soon…   How do I book a photo session? Modern Cloth Diapers: Not Your Grandma’s Clothes-Pin Style!

I knew from the very beginning that I wanted to use cloth diapers; for the environmental part but also that babies are able to ‘potty train’ that much faster. BUT there were so many questions, the feeling of overwhelm, and tons of unknowns–I mean, where do you even start!?   So, I turned to an expert for help. Anna from Bumbini graciously agreed to answer all of my questions, and in doing so was able to inform me about the

Newborn Baby Nayla – 6 weeks new

Baby Nayla came to visit the portrait studio for her newborn photography session at just under 6 weeks new, 39 days old to be exact. She was absolutely stunning, and the few extra weeks allowed for her to accumulate some extra baby chub, which I absolutely adore, and flashes us a gorgeous smile! See for yourself!   World, meet Nayla.   Here are a few favourites from the session.     How do I book a photo session? I’d love to

Meet the McClinchey Family | North Gower Photographer

It was so nice to hear from this family for outdoor family portraits, and to see little miss having grown so much since her newborn session. We lucked out perfectly with this gorgeous tree farm in North Gower, and the rain holding out until we were on our way out of the farm. It was a little chilly, but we kept warm in between the shots with our jackets, and it made for some beautiful family portraits. I cannot wait to

Tummy Time with Baby George – 3 Months Old

Growing Baby George   3 Months Baby Photos Milestone: Tummy Time   Not-so-little baby George came to visit us at the studio for his 3 months baby photos milestone to celebrate his newly learned skills of tummy time (holding himself up), and oh so many beautiful facial expressions. You wouldn’t know by the portraits, but this little guy’s session was the day after the tornadoes this past September–which meant no power (no flash), and a whole lot of improvising at the studio.

Mama to Be Rouba | Ottawa Photographer

I was lucky enough to be able to photograph these lovely parents-to-be as they patiently awaited the arrival of their little one. Capturing this momentous moment on such an important journey is nothing other than an honour, especially the once-in-a-lifetime portraits with baby’s grandmother. This baby will be oh so well-loved, and spoiled I am sure! We took a walking tour of the Dominion Arboretum in Ottawa, to take advantage of all of the different scenery and photo-opportunities, and I

Newborn Baby Rahaf – 1 week new

Baby Rahaf came to visit the portrait studio for her newborn photography session at just over 1 week new, 9 days old to be exact. She absolutely loved being swaddled, so we found all of the different ways and wraps to keep things varied in her go-to pose–sometimes babies just want one thing, and that’s totally okay! It worked out especially well for the sibling and family poses too. See for yourself! World, meet Rahaf. Here are a few favourites from

Meet the Boyuk Family | Riverside South Photographer

These two were a great pleasure to photograph, and it was really nice to learn about their story. Being in the military can have its ups and downs within a family, and they take every one with a confident stride.   I am also very proud to say that they were featured in the November 2018 edition of the local Neighbours of Stonebridge magazine (quaint little neighbourhood between Manotick and Barrhaven, in Ottawa). To read the full article, you do

Newborn Baby Maverick – 5 weeks new

Baby Maverick came to visit the portrait studio for his newborn photography session at just over 5 weeks new, 39 days old to be exact. See for yourself!   World, meet Maverick.   Here are a few favourites from the session.              How do I book a

Mama to Be Sara | Nepean Photographer

Sara was a true pleasure to photograph, and let me take her to the secret garden style moss path in the woods. She took advantage of the beautiful gowns available at the studio, and they look stunning on her! I am very happy that we were able to achieve very fall-esque images along side some beautiful images with wintery pines. See for yourself!   World, meet Mama to be Sara.   Here are a few favourites from the session.

How To Babyproof Your Home On A Budget

When you’re pregnant, babyproofing your home isn’t really something you think about. The most common time people think about it, is after they’ve heard of a tragedy that could have been easily prevented with something as simple as a piece of tape or a fresh battery. Yup, it can totally be done on the cheap too! Not to worry, this post is all about prevention, and I have sourced out a safety expert to tell us all about the sneaky

Baby Shower & Gender Reveal Party

As you all know, my husband and I are expecting a little one of our own. This weekend we hosted a family and friends get-together for our baby shower, which also doubled as a gender reveal. I know, I know–it’s technically a ‘sex reveal’ rather than gender, but somehow I couldn’t put that on the invitations.   We had our festivities at ALE in Stittsville (Ottawa) so we could enjoy catching up over served brunch, and a nice bright space for

Some of you may have already seen it, but yours truly was published in a local magazine to share my knowledge on ‘How to Get the Best Results from Your Family Portrait Session’ for the residents of Stonebridge.
